Newark Orchard School is fully committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into effect on 25th May 2018.
The school is adhering to the guidelines provided by Nottinghamshire County Council and this programme of work is underpinned by a suite of policies that will comply with the new law, which can be found below.
The school is maintaining an Information Asset Register which records types of personal data the school is processing and other supporting information.
Training for school staff has been provided and more detailed, role specific training will be provided over the coming months.
We are reviewing our existing supplier contracts to ensure they comply with GDPR where required.
All our privacy notices have been updated alongside a new form for all parents and carers to complete. The privacy notices will be sent out and a copy of them can also be found below
